Brief description of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) functions. MSCs has self-renewal ability and differentiation potential in different lineages (e.g. adipocytes, chondrocytes and osteocytes) and can be isolated from different sources. MSC has immunomodulatory function acting by paracrine effect and is able to promote tissue neo-vascularize and re-epithelize as well secretes anti-inflammatory cytokines during tissue restoration
